Sartaj Khan hails from Barna village of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. He is a child artist who has become a star at the tender age of 11. Singing is in his genes, he is son of renowned Khartal player Gazi Khan. His primary name to fame is his breaking into Hindi Film Industry in Aamir Khan starrer movie Dangal. He lent his sensational voice for the chartbuster song "Haanikarak Bapu”. The song became quite popular and so did he. It was a new world for Sartaj in his own words Sartaj describes,“Yes, it was the first time I had experienced something like this. Earlier, only our village folk knew that I could sing. My father is also a folk singer but singing professionally is different. It was hard work but we had our fun moments too in the studio”.

After that, Sartaj Khan Barna bagged a chance with Nickelodeon to sing the title track of 'Gattu Battu'.

He has made 201 trips to foreign lands showcasing his talent. Sartaj specializes in Sufi and Rajasthani folk music, this renders him a powerful voice and unique stature.
