Traditionally, from a young age Rajendra Kumar Uikey learnt Gond rituals along with myths, legends, and historical events that were narrated in his community during ceremonies. This rich oral knowledge (that they inherited and passed down generations) along with the natural world around them that Gond artists draw from.

Centuries old this tribal art is becoming very popular these days the Gond painting image becomes alive by unique patterns, symmetric composition and striking colours. Rajendra Kumar completed his graduation and then chose the traditional art as his carrier. At present he along his wife Jayanti Uikey are keeping alive this primitive tribal art by using this art form in modern style by doing interiors on wall, windows and multiple ways. Rajendra Kumar is a skilled artist who can do customised tribal art anywhere as and when required.
