TRADITIONAL INDIAN ARCHITECTURE (MAKER OF ZERO ELECTRICITY AIR CONDITIONER)
Profile of Artist:
Monish Siripurapu, a graduate from “The School of Planning and Architecture”, is a staunch believer of amalgamating the natural landscape and the built environ, with the aid of technological tools. He believes that the ecological environment around us has so many divergent facets, which can be magnificently inculcated as a part of the contemporary global façade.
Having set his design principles straight, Monish Siripurapu laid the foundation of the ANT Studio, to create designs that aim to not only reduce the harmful effects of the built environment on the natural aspects, but also to create a positive impact on the whole.
The passion for preserving as well as learning from the elements of nature is what Monish utilizes to create innovative designs.
Monish’s designs create a successful concoction of the earthiness of natural elements and the baroque craft of artisans, with the assistance of technological thinking, for instance he has designed a structure which plays as a functional role of an air conditioner that consumes no electricity.
He has been an invited speaker at TEDX, UNDP India, Hyderabad Design Week, UNIDO and British Council. He has been an invited speaker at TEDX, UNDP India, Hyderabad Design Week, UNIDO and British Council.
