Janu Bhiva Ravate is a traditional tribal Warli artist of Maharashtra region. This tribal folk art is passed on to the next generations and Janu Bhiva Ravate is practicing this art since last 4 decades. Janu Bhiva Ravate like other warli artists has a unique folk style in his painting, these rudimentary wall paintings use a set of basic geometric shapes: a circle, a triangle, and a square. These shapes are symbolic of different elements of nature. The circle and the triangle come from their observation of nature. The circle represents the sun and the moon, while the triangle is derived from mountains and pointed trees.

Janu Bhiva Ravate as a responsible art lover has passed on his abilities to his children and enjoys teaching the nuances of his tribal art and the use of natural and organic colours.
