Tiju Ram belongs to Bastar which is famous for its indigenous handicrafts. Tiju as a small child played with simple tools and start bending iron rods to give them a shape of figures, as the time passed TIju Ram’s father realized the craftsmanship skill in his creation. The iron craft skill is passed to generation to generation among the communities of iron-smiths and tribes.

Tiju Ram became notable craftsperson in traditional iron crafting and was honored as first person to be awarded in his state and later became the National Award winner. He has given demonstration of his special craft in places like Italy, Milan and Russia also.
