Manju Rautela practices the Aipan art which is popular art form of Kumaon Region Uttarakhand. This is a traditional art form which is made in every house on auspicious occasion by all the ladies of family members. Manju Rautela also like a family tradition started practicing this art form and helped her mother when she was a child.

This Uttarakhand art form is also known to offer protection from evil . While earlier the art form was found on floors and walls of houses, now a days it has marked its presence in many utility objects and even on clothing pieces.

This skill is passed on through the generations from mothers to daughters, Manju wants to carry the legacy of this traditional art forms and encourages her students to see its values and and their cultural identity.
