Bhungar Khan plays the khartals: castanet-like percussive instruments that produce a staccato rhythm by clicking two flat hardwood blocks together in each hand.

Bhungar, son of Multan Khan Manganiar plays with an energy and intensity that is catching amongst the artists, his piercing blue eyes and precise manipulation of his instrument can inject energy into the group even after eight hours of rehearsing.

Already being acknowledged as the young hot artist on the folk scene, he has been invited by the ICCR to play at concerts abroad, on numerous occasions. These include live performances in Norway, Russia, Uzbekistan and Germany. He is also a recognized musician on All India Radio, Barmer.

Bhungar Khan has done Collaboration with Musicians from all over the world. He has worked with Jason Singh on the Darohar initiative, Jeff Lang and Bobby Singh on the Maru Tarang Project in Australia and the Sitar Maestro Pandit K.M. Bhatt Ji at JHIFF in 2010.
