Bhanwar Singh parents always participated in Satsang and sang devotional songs. As a curious child Bhanwar Singh accompanied his father and mother where they sang devotional songs.Bhanwar Singh told us that his first Guru was his mother Smt. Maina Bai and father Shri Gattuji Dawar.

After completing his primary education he was guided by Galaramji, learned the skill of performing Bhajans in front of local audience.

Later, Bhanwar Singh took training under Prahlad Singh Tipaniya who is an Indian folk singer who performs Kabir bhajans in the Malwi folk style from Madhya Pradesh.
