Aastha comes from a spiritually rich city – Vrindavan. Probably this is the reason she has a rare collection of compositions of the Braj region like Krishna-Radha Janamotsava Badhai Gaan, Jhoola, Ashtyaam Raag Seva, songs of different seasons and festivals like Hori, Basant or Savan. Aastha is a qualified singer, she has done her Masters in Music after ding her traditional training in Sangeet Visharad and sangeet Nipun.

Later she received her intense music training at the prestigious ITC Sangeet Research Academy where she had the privilege of training under the tutelage of Pt. Arun Bhaduri and Padma Vibhushan Smt. Girija Devi Ji.

After performing for more than 20 years all over India and abroad with numerous awards and honours to her credit, she has now evolved her unique style of Padavali Gaayan, which imbibes the intricacies of Khayal Gayaki filled with deep emotions.

Aastha’s representation of the Braj musical tradition in the world renowned Harvard , Yale and Columbia Universities made her audience spellbound in her sweet, melodious and soulful voice. She is an empanelled Artist of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). Perhaps we could say Aastha Goswami is on a different internal journey; reaching Ishwara through Swara.
