The appliqué was traditionally a means of recycling leftover or unused fabric. Indian artisans created outstanding appliqué motifs by shaping and stitching these fabrics then attaching them to a larger base fabric.
Hirabhai started this work more than 5 decades before when they migrated from Pakistan to Gujarat. He began this magical art work with his family members and five women, soon his work started flourishing as a result he increased his workforce.
Hirabhai's creative craft work was appreciated everywhere and as a result was honored by the State award in this special art form in the year 2016.
The magical hand work of Hirabhai is now being exported in countries like Australia, Germany, France and Israel. Through this traditional art work Hirabhai is supporting more than 1500 artisans to keep this appliqué work popular in India and worldwide also.
