Smt. Indira Nagar has been practicing this unique art form for more than 35 years which involves use of knife for making paintings by scratching on wooden hardboard. Indira Nagar is a source of inspiration for other women inspiring them to be economically and socially empowered and simultaneously fulfilling their family responsibilities. Scratch Painting is a unique manner of art in which the painter carves a drawing on a solid surface by scratching with sharp objects and then paints the image. Indira Nagar painted her master creation and won the National award for her excellent painting.
